CERTIFICATIONS
Tesoro Boston is proud to offer GIA Certified Diamonds. Independent Certification is how you can be sure that you're getting a quality diamond that’s accurately graded. The GIA offers two types of Grading Reports.
The GIA Natural Diamond Grading Report: This report identifies the shape and the 4C's of the diamond including cut, clarity color, and carat. The report also includes precise measurements and a plot or map of the diamond’s characteristics. The diamond grading report will also note if the diamond has a laser inscription, and will describe important characteristics beyond the clarity grade.
The GIA Diamond Dossier®:The dossier offers the same grading information as the Natural Diamond Grading Report, without the plotted diagram. To ensure authenticity, the dossier always includes a laser inscription number on the girdle of the diamond.
FORWARD WITH TECHNOLOGY
Technology has changed every industry and the diamond industry is no exception. Our diamonds are moving forward with technology with laser inscription, digital assets including appraisals and certifications.
At Tesoro Boston we embrace this new technology to help you make the most educated decision when purchasing your diamond. We offer photo and video assets of your Certified Diamonds as well as Custom CAD Design and 3D Digital Animation.
We have also embraced a digital platform for Insurance Appraisals and necessary services like Jewelry Insurance and In-Store Financing.
ETHICAL & CONFLICT FREE
At Tesoro Boston, all of our diamonds are ethically sourced, and conflict free and follow the guidelines as outlined in the Kimberly Process. The Kimberley Process (KP) was created to unite government administrations, civil societies, and the diamond industry in order to reduce the flow of conflict diamonds.
What are conflict diamonds? Conflict diamonds are diamonds sold and used to finance wars and civil unrest.
What are ethical diamonds? Ethical diamonds are conflict-free diamonds. They are confirmed, via The Kimberly Process, to be transparently mined and do not support wars or uncivil organizations.
The US Government requires that all diamond retailers adhere to these strict standards and source only from manufacturers that comply with the Kimberly Process and whose diamonds are attained through transparent and legitimate channels.
Tesoro Boston is a proud partner in these efforts. Both our Natural and Laboratory Grown Diamonds are conflict-free as we follow both the Kimberly Process when selecting and sourcing our Natural Diamonds
